ALDA Chicago is very excited to team with AgeGuide to present a free Lunch and Scam Awareness Event at the Helen Plum Library in the Plum Meeting Room. AgeGuide is the Area Agency on Aging in Northeastern Illinois. AgeGuide provides programs and services for those age 60 and older under the Older Americans Act. The seminar and lunch are provided by AgeGuide.
PROGRAM SCHEDULE
11:00 - Noon: Check-in and enjoy a free box lunch. Due to space issues, we will be eating in our chairs.
Noon - 2:00 pm: Presentations from three speakers.
The first speaker is a representative from Adult Protective Services speaking on the services that they provide for older adults, along with how to report financial exploitation.
Second speaker is a representative from the Attorney General’s Office that will speak on current scams/reporting.
Third speaker is a representative from AgeGuide with a Medicare fraud presentation. He usually turns it into a “Medicare fraud” BINGO to make it more fun and interactive. BINGO winners will get a gift card.
ASL interpreters and CART (Computer-Assisted Realtime Translation; captioning) will be provided.
Registration limited to 65.
Please RSVP no later than September 19th.
IMPORTANT—GUEST REGISTRATIONS
If you and your guest(s) are ordering the same box lunch as you, fill in the form for your registration then do the following for each of your guests:
1) click the "Add Guest" button near the bottom of your registration form;
2) specify the guest's first and last name (for the name tag);
3) click "Done".
Repeat these 3 steps for each guest that is ordering the same box lunch as you. When each of your guests with the same box lunch have been identified, click "Next" to review the registration information for you and your guest(s). Click "Confirm" when you are satisfied with its accuracy.
If you and your guest(s) are ordering a different box lunch than you, you MUST register yourself then complete a separate registration for each guest specifying their box lunch choice.
NOTE: You and your guests' box lunches CANNOT be changed at the library.
