An ALDA Chicago spring gathering will take place Saturday, May 5th, in Lombard to enjoy Lilacia Park and some fun events and lovely flowers. Lilacia Park is located at 150 S. Park Avenue, Lombard 60148. Learn more at their website: http://www.lombardlilactime.com/
Below is the list of activities planned for the park. You can get there early and do things on your own, or meet for lunch and go to the park afterward. It’s up to you!
We plan to meet at the Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery at 96 Yorktown Center in Lombard for lunch at 11:30am. We will then meet at the park between 1-1:30pm to enjoy the spring blooms and some 40s jazz tunes from Swing Forward. There is a lot going on and you may choose to do any activities you wish.
Don't forget to bring a blanket and lawn chair if you plan to enjoy the concert.
There is no cost for this event. Any lunch or activities you do can be paid for at that time. We do, however, request that you register for the lunch so that we know how many will join us at the restaurant. Registration closes Thursday midnight May 3rd.

Lilac Queen Coronation: 1-2 p.m.
Join us as the 2018 Lilac Queen is crowned, continuing a Lilac Village tradition of more than 80 years ago; held in Lilacia Park.
Lilac Parade Wine/Beer Walk: 1-5 p.m.
Registration/check-in (to be announced). Various businesses along St. Charles & Park will be participating with wine or beer, some snacks, and business specific special deals. This is a rain or shine event: www.LombardLilacParade.com. Must be ages 21 and over to obtain beer/wine.
Advance tickets to the Wine/Beer Walk can be purchased at Famous Liquors, 105 E. Roosevelt Rd., Lombard. Each advance ticket is $35 or $40 if purchased "at the door" (on May 5). Tickets can also be bought in advance via www.LombardLilacParade.com or by calling the Parade Committee directly at 630-330-5409 (Voice).
Lilac Heritage Tour: 2-3 p.m.

Concert in Lilacia Park with Swing Forward: 2:30-4 p.m.
Come to Lilacia Park and enjoy an afternoon with Swing Forward! Swing Forward is a dynamic jazz/swing music band performing retro remakes of songs by the likes of Bruno Mars, Paramore and Sam Smith that echo the jazz era of the 1940s. Woven into that mix are the timeless American standards by the likes of Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. It’s guaranteed to be a swinging good time for all ages! (630) 620-7322.
